Foster Care Programs
The FLTA Pathway Youth Employment Program is a 10-week training initiative designed to equip foster care youth in Los Angeles County with the tools needed for stable employment and independent adulthood. Our goal is to prevent incarceration and homelessness by providing real-world job skills, financial awareness, mentorship, and direct pathways to employment.

The Pathway Youth Employment Program
The Pathway Program is FLTA’s 10-week youth employment training initiative designed specifically for foster care youth in Los Angeles County. In partnership with local foster care agencies, FLTA delivers hands-on adulthood training that equips youth with the tools to navigate the workforce and life after care. Participants learn essential skills including professionalism, financial literacy, job readiness, and emotional intelligence.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are directly connected to employment opportunities through FLTA’s network of partnering businesses. We are deeply committed to supporting foster youth—especially those aging out of the system—who are at high risk of experiencing homelessness or incarceration. The Pathway Program is our proactive solution to ensure they have the resources, skills, and guidance to build stable, independent futures.

Changing The Dynamics Of Society...
FLTA is dedicated to changing the dynamics of society by delivering business, financial, and employment training that empowers individuals and strengthens at-risk communities. Our mission is to create lasting generational impact by equipping people with the tools to build stability, independence, and long-term success.
In Los Angeles County, a significant number of foster youth face life-altering challenges after aging out of the system, with many falling into cycles of incarceration and homelessness due to a lack of support, resources, and guidance. Studies show that without intervention, nearly 50% of foster youth will experience homelessness within 18 months of emancipation, and over 25% will become involved with the criminal justice system within two years. The FLTA Pathway Program is committed to reversing these trends by providing targeted employment training and mindset development aimed at reshaping the thinking patterns of youth who may lack the confidence or tools to succeed. Through structured life skills workshops, emotional intelligence development, and real job placement opportunities, the program empowers participants to build purpose-driven futures and break free from systemic cycles.
