FLTA Reentry Panel Provides Graduates With Valuable Insight Into All Areas Of There Reentry Process.
The FLTA Financial Reentry Training Graduation at Avenal State Prison was a powerful and inspiring milestone that celebrated the transformation of 50 dedicated men—two full graduating classes—who completed our 15-week financial reentry program. The event was filled with hope, healing, and celebration as guest speakers like Danny Morrison, producer at 102.3 KJLH and founder of Danny Morrison Media, Katrina Williams, founder of Changing Faces of Homelessness (CFH), and Angel Clark of Stay Out Solutions joined the FLTA team, prison leadership, and program supporters to uplift the graduates. FLTA’s founder delivered a heartfelt speech about the journey and purpose behind the program, while several graduates shared emotional testimonies about how the training shifted their mindset, gave them financial confidence, and turned the fear of reentry into excitement for the future.
The event also featured an empowering reentry panel made up of lived-experience individuals, community program providers, and employment specialists who fielded questions from the graduates about housing, jobs, credit, and navigating life after incarceration. The panel provided practical insight, encouragement, and vital information that left the room energized and full of purpose. Special thank you to Avenal State Prison, all of our partners, guest speakers, and the incredible FLTA team for making this moment possible. Congratulations to all of our graduates—your transformation is just the beginning!
