Our goal is to provide the tools, knowledge, and support needed for financial independence, personal growth, and long-term success. With compassion and dedication, we guide each participant on their journey, helping them break free from the cycles of poverty and recidivism, and ultimately become valued, contributing members of society.

Why Are We So Passionate About Our Graduations?

Financial Liberation Training Academy Reentry Graduation At Avenal State Prison.

FLTA Graduations are powerful celebrations of new beginnings, marking the transformation of participants who have completed our Financial Reentry Training. Each graduation features a Reentry Panel made up of partnering service providers, subject matter specialists, and individuals who have successfully reentered society—offering valuable, experience-based insight and encouragement. These events not only reinforce everything our graduates have learned, but also provide a safe space to reduce fear, anxiety, and financial triggers associated with reentry. Our goal is to ensure each participant leaves inspired, supported, and prepared to take their next step with confidence.

Participants learn practical tools for budgeting, banking, credit rebuilding, and long-term goal setting, so they can protect their freedom, strengthen their families, and build lasting financial independence.

Youth Financial Reentry Training

FLTA’s Youth Financial Reentry Training is a 15-week, trauma-informed program that equips justice-impacted youth with real-world financial skills for a successful return home. Youth learn budgeting, banking, credit awareness, emotional spending triggers, and reentry planning—linking financial decisions to freedom, goals, and long-term stability. Participants are connected to immediate employment opportunities and earn FLTA paper money through attendance, participation, and weekly homework. Upon release, FLTA helps youth open a bank account and provides an FLTA matching deposit based on their earned total, so they reenter with real savings and a stronger financial foundation.
