What Is FLTA?

FLTA is a nonprofit organization transforming lives through financial literacy, credit building, employment training, and business education. We serve what we call the Big 3—the prison population, homeless individuals, and foster care youth—empowering them with real-world tools to break cycles of poverty, incarceration, and financial instability. From prison workshops to youth employment programs, we help people achieve lasting financial freedom and independence.

The Power Of

Lived Experience

FLTA Directors bring invaluable lived experience to each department, having firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by the three populations we serve. We understand the struggles because we’ve walked in their shoes, and we use that experience to inspire and empower others. Our team’s insight and passion allow us to connect deeply with our participants, creating a lasting impact as we show them the power of business, financial  and emotional awareness. By leading by example, FLTA Directors demonstrate that change is possible, and we are dedicated to helping individuals transform their lives through education, understanding and resilience.
